The city also hosts the Kumbh Mela, a major Hindu pilgrimage event, every 12 years.

Lansdowne: Tucked away in the Garhwal Himalayas, Lansdowne is a serene hill station known for its colonial charm and natural beauty. Visitors can explore the quiet streets lined with colonial-era buildings, visit the historic War Memorial and Garhwali Museum, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains from viewpoints like Tip-n-Top and Snow Viewpoint. The town is also an ideal destination for trekking, birdwatching, and nature walks amidst pine forests and meadows.

Har Ki Pauri: Visit the famous Har Ki Pauri ghat, a sacred bathing ghat on the banks of the Ganges River, and witness the evening Ganga Aarti ceremony.
Mansa Devi Temple: Take a cable car ride or trek to Mansa Devi Temple, located atop the Bilwa Parvat hill, and seek blessings from the goddess.
Local Market: Explore the vibrant markets of Haridwar, known for their religious items, handicrafts, and street food.
Return to Rishikesh: Return to Rishikesh in the evening.

Bhulla Lake: Upon arrival in Lansdowne, visit Bhulla Lake, a serene artificial lake surrounded by pine forests, ideal for boating and picnics.
St. Mary's Church: Explore St. Mary's Church, a historic church dating back to the British era, known for its colonial architecture and tranquil ambiance.

Departure: After sightseeing, check out from your hotel and depart from Lansdowne for your onward journey.
